Pre-Contact to Treaty 7
Our region is Blackfoot territory since time immemorial. Over the centuries, it also becomes home to the Tsuut’ina Nation, the Iyarhe Nakoda Nations, and the Métis.

Settlers and Incorporations
Eupropean Settlers arrived in the region around 1910 and incorporated as Forest Lawn on July 4, 1934. In 1935 we amalgamated with Albert Park.
Annexed By the City of Calgary
Over the years, our population swelled, attracting both residents and industries and became apart of the City of Calgary.
To support the interests of our residents and community members, the Forest Lawn Community Association was established.
A message to our community,
The resiliency of our city and our world is being tested right now. As your community association, we are committed to supporting our members and community who will be significantly impacted in both the short and long-term by the COVID-19 pandemic. The FLCA is currently exploring the ways in which we can best address the impacts of the outbreak, while flattening the curve and adhering to recommendations for social distancing.
In the meantime, our office is closed until further notice and all public programming, rentals, and gatherings based out of the FLCA will be halted until further notice.
Now is a time of critical importance in managing the community spread. We strongly encourage everyone to stay home and practice social distancing.
Below are some of the resources available for folks who are currently experiencing hardships as a result of COVID-19 or the subsequent restrictions implemented by our municipal, provincial, and federal government.
